We’re happy to announce that one of the biggest milestones – the full page black and white illustrations – have been completed! While there are a few tweaks to be made prior to getting started on colouring, this is one of the steps in the process that takes the most time.
It involves blowing up the originally planned thumbnail image for each page, and redrawing it full scale with all the details, characters and backgrounds. The final line is a clean ink line that varies in thickness to give weight and dimension to the illustration.
Once the tweaks are made, the colouring process can begin. We’ll post a few sneak peeks as we continue!
